We are excited that you have decided to start a peer mediation program at your school. Our curriculum makes it fairly easy to start a program even if you’ve never had experience with a peer mediation program before. In order to prepare you to train the students, we’ve created an online conflict resolution class that will teach you conflict resolution theory and mediation skills. The class will also go over the curriculum and train you on how to use it.
The online class is on a platform called Udemy. Three-fourths of the online class will be self-directed, meaning you work by yourself to finish the materials and take the tests. One-fourth of the class is live and will be led by a teacher. Each week, you will finish the self-directed class in order to be ready for the live class. Please make sure to do the self-directed portion and take the tests. The live online class each week is only 1.5 hours to minimize impact on your schedule.
When you finish the class and pass the exams, you will receive a certificate of completion. If you’ve never taken an online class before, don’t worry. We’ll give you all the instructions to prepare you to be an online student.
